This one is for the working class, the hustlers, the underdogs and the DIY-ers.

SELF MADE. DUES PAID.

SELF MADE has been part of my story, my work and my identity for more than 15 years.

I’ve made a few versions of this hat over the years, including a collaboration with my longtime friend Travis Barker. But it had been a while, and it was time to bring it back again.

For me, SELF MADE has always meant building something from the ground up. Starting with little or no help, no roadmap, no safety net and figuring it out along the way.

That’s how I came up. I started at the bottom and learned through experience, mistakes, hard work and a lot of dues paid.

Along the way, I’ve been fortunate enough to make incredible friends who have helped further my life and my work. I’m grateful for every one of them. Being self made doesn’t mean nobody ever helped you. It means taking responsibility for the life you’re building and remembering the people who believed in you along the way.

Just as important as what I’ve built is how I’ve tried to build it: treat people well. Don’t lie, cheat, steal or envy. Keep your word. Have integrity. Pay your dues.

That’s what SELF MADE DUES PAID has always represented to me.

And I’m still living it.

We’re all writing our own stories. We choose our paths, work toward our goals and try to build better lives for ourselves and the people around us.
